Intelledox launches into SaaS

Document creation and delivery software vendor Intelledox has announced a move into software as as service aimed squarely at business users.

Intelledox Express is aimed at boosting productivity and lowering costs by automating document-centric business processes, like contract negotiation and billing systems.

The software is available as an on-premise product or SaaS with a monthly subscription.

Intelledox software is developed by a team of six in Canberra and has hi-profile IT entrepreneur Peter Kazacos as a board member.

Kazacos said this type of software can increase a business's efficiency “almost instantly” and it is delivered as a product that business people can understand.

“A huge outlay for software is always difficult to get through,” he said, adding the SaaS version will open new markets for the company, and international sales are already being executed by the company.

Intelledox CEO Phillip Williamson claims 50 percent “efficiency dividends” via document processing automation, and “wherever you see document output, chances are there is some level of manual business process behind it”.

Intelledox users include the ACT Planning and Land Authority, Hastings Deering, the Department of Disability, Housing and Community Services and IP Australia.

In December 2008, Intelledox announced a contract with AXA Australia which will see more than 3000 financial planners use Intelledox software.

The software is developed with Microsoft SQL Server and .Net and can pull data from external databases or have data 'pushed' to it as well.

"Our software is very different and innovative. It allows users to produce rich documents by drawing on information stored in various places and then output to print, e-mail or to a Web portal,” Williamson said.
