If you’re looking for a job in an Australian government department the Australian Public Service (APS) jobs portal, APSjobs, now offers a 12-field search facility to better connect agency personnel requirements with job seekers.
The APSjobs portal at http://apsjobs.gov.au/ purports to link people to vacancies in the APS, the Australian Parliamentary Service and other Australian Government agencies.
The free services can be used by people already working in the APS, wanting to join the APS, returning to the workforce, looking for a career change, graduating from university or TAFE, people still studying and school leavers.
To find a suitable job, APSjobs can be searched by department (or agency), APS classification, job category (including IT&T), location (state), salary range, type of role (casual, full-time, etc) and by keyword.
Also available is an 'Email Me Jobs' service that allows people to set up favourite job search criteria for finding jobs.
Subscribers then receive an email each Thursday containing details of the first 50 matches.
