Internode reveals NBN pricing, counts uploads in data allowance

ISP's plans start from $60 for a 12/1Mbps connection

Australian internet service provider Internode has revealed the prices it intends to charge for customers on the National Broadband Network.

All NBN connections through Internode will be phone and Internet bundles, with four different data allowances available across 12 megabits per second uplink/1Mbps downlink, 25/5Mbps, 50/20 Mbps and 100/40 Mbps services.

The cheapest plan offered by the ISP is a $59.95 per month phone and internet bundle for a 12/1Mbps connection with a 30GB data allowance, while the most expensive plan — 100/40Mbps with a 1TB limit — will cost $189.95 per month.

The plans include monthly credit with Internode's NodePhone VoIP scheme, with analog voice services being made available later this year. Internode has also revealed it will count uploads towards a user's data allowance because of the "high-speed upstream performance of NBN services".
