Kogan to sell Apple, Canon, Nikon and Samsung products

Aussie online retailer will now offer popular electronic brands and products at discount prices

Cut price online retailer Kogan will now offer imported products from big brands, including Apple, Canon, Nikon and Samsung, as well as its own house brand products.

Kogan founder and chief executive, Ruslan Kogan, said in a statement that the decision to increase their offerings was inspired by Dell's decision to sell other vendors' products.

A Kogan blog entry says the company is offering a Nikon D3100 digital SLR with a 18-55mm lens for $489; Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi offer the same kit for $949 and $777, respectively, according to Kogan.

Kogan said it can offer cheaper prices to consumers because the retailer is “cutting out the middle men”.

The initial range will include digital SLR cameras and tablets.

Kogan will offer the new products, which includes Apple's iPad 2, with 12 month warranties (with the option of extending them to five years).

Maybe he could use the slogan:

"Go, Kogan, Go!!!"

With apologies to ol' Gerry, of course.
