Asus has launched its latest tablet in Australia: The Eee Pad Slider.
The tablet, which is available for $649 for the 16GB model or $749 for the 32GB device, boasts a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Australian product manager, Beryl Lee, said the device has already received praise from the industry.
“The Eee Pad Slider has already made its mark with its sleek design at the International Design Excellence Awards 2011 and we are confident that its leading functionality will also be celebrated.”
The Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) device is powered by an NVIDIA Terga 2 dual core processor.
The device was launched in the US earlier this year, with the tablet compared to a “giant slider phone” but with a tilting screen.
In Australia the tablet will be available from Bing Lee and JB Hi-Fi.
