LG has confirmed that the latest version of Google's Android mobile platform — 4.0, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich — will be available for a number of its current range of smartphones.
LG's Optimus 2X, Optimus Black and Optimus 3D will be able to be updated to Android 4.0. A statement from LG said: "We are also continuing to evaluate the Android 4.0 ( ICS) OS to determine whether it is compatible with the functionality, features and performance of other LG smartphones to make the software available on as many LG smartphones as possible."
Details of the update schedule will be revealed in December, according to LG.
