One in three Australian small business owners are looking into purchasing an iPad or a similar tablet in the lead up to Christmas, according to research sponsored by Telstra
In October, StollzNow Research surveyed 321 businesses ranging in size from sole owner operators to those with up to 200 staff.
Some 28 per cent of SMB owners are buying a tablet for work, while 9 per cent are already using a tablet device. The tablet made the wish list of 66 per cent of businesses using mobile broadband; 86 per cent of users with tablets were “satisfied” with the devices.
“Our surveys show Australian small businesses increasingly wanted to be more flexible in their work,” Telstra Business Group managing director, Will Irving, said in a statement.
“More than 60 per cent have at least one staff member spending most of their time working away from their main business location.
“Tablets help the move to increased mobility.”
Irving said the tablet “will top the Christmas wish list” for SMBs this year because “they help make work even easier on the go.”
