Rara.com music streaming comes to Australia

Unlimited music streaming service available through Web and on Android smartphones

Music streaming service rara.com today launched in Australia, as well as Canada and Singapore. The service, which offers unlimited streaming for a monthly fee, launched in other markets including the US and UK late last year.

Rara.com offers access to more than 10 million tracks, with the company having licensing agreements with EMI Music, Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group.

The basic service costs $7.99 per month ($0.99 per month for the first three months), while a mobile-enabled service designed for Android handsets is available for $12.99 per month ($2.99 per month for the first three months). There is no minimum subscription period.

According to rara.com, the service will be "pre-loaded on the vast majority of Australia, Singapore and Canada HP PCs".

Rara.com can be accessed through the service's website or using an app available from the Android market
