Vodafone begins Australian pre-orders for Sony PlayStation Vita

Vodafone has opened pre-orders for Sony's next-generation handheld games console: The PlayStation Vita. The device will launch in Australia on 23 February.
The 3G-equipped Sony PlayStation Vita will run on Vodafone's new 850MHz mobile network, and will be offered on both prepaid and postpaid plans, for $419 upfront with 200MB of data included or from $55 per month over 12 months with a 1.5GB monthly data allowance. The Vita is also available on 6GB, 12GB, 14GB and 18GB data plans.
The PlayStation Vita is the successor to Sony's PlayStation Portable series and runs a quad core ARM Cortex A9 CPU. It has a 5-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 960x544, dual cameras, GPS, Wi-Fi, dual joysticks and Bluetooth connectivity.
