Security vendor, Sophos, has appointed former Adobe APAC country sales manager, Ashley Wearne, to the newly created role of Australia and New Zealand general manager.
Wearne will be based in the Sydney office and report directly to Singapore-based Asia-Pacific managing director, Stuart Fisher.
According to Sophos, the role was created as part of its investment in the APAC region. It follows the company’s financial results of 27 per cent year-on-year growth in APAC compared to17 per cent year-on-year global growth.
Wearne will be responsible for management duties and driving the company’s security initiative across the A/NZ region, supporting the overall APAC growth plans being driven by Fisher.
“It was important to find a candidate that is both the right fit for the organisation and very capable of effectively managing a large team to meet the goals we’ve set to ensure Sophos’s ongoing success in the region,” Fisher said in a statement.
