Sophos has released a new version of its mobile device management software, Sophos Mobile Control.
The security vendors said that Sophos Mobile Control 2.5 adds optimised workflow and increased integration with organisations’ IT infrastructure thanks directory support that will automatically assign new devices to existing groups and policies.
The new version also offers improved support for wiping mobile devices and automatic alerts when mobile devices are non-compliant with an organisation’s policies. IT managers can also set up policies to automatically take a series of actions, such as a partial or full wipe of a device’s data, if it does not comply with policies.
According to Sophos there are more than 1500 customers using Mobile Control.
Sophos has subscription licensing for Mobile Control. It is also available as part of the vendor’s Complete Subscription Suite. The company intends to offer Mobile Control as a hosted service "soon".
