Android gives directions to cyclists through Google Maps app

Cyclists can now get turn-by-turn directions on the go with voice-guided navigation from the Google Maps app for Android.
The app helps cyclists avoid steep hills and find bike lanes, cycle paths and recommended streets. Cyclists can enhance Google Maps’ cycling information by contributing to Map Maker.

Google introduced cycling directions to Google Maps for Australia in July.
The search company has steadily been issuing updates to Maps this winter, recently adding public transportation directions in New South Wales and opening Map Maker to Australia.
