Infosys invests in NSW students

New South Wales Premier Barry O’Farrell and executives of Indian IT company Infosys today unveiled an new scholarship program at an event in Hyderabad.

The new scholarship program will involve three to five NSW students each year working with Infosys in India on IT projects.

The scholarship program is dubbed 'InStep NSW', and participating students will live and work at an Infosys campus in India, with the IT company paying for travel and living expenses.

“The NSW students will gain professional skills during the internships and learn just as much by working alongside and interacting with their Indian colleagues during the internship,” O’Farrell said.

"InStep NSW will help students to develop a greater understanding of Asia, which we know is going to be of great importance as international business focuses increasingly on the region," the premier said.
