Owners of Apple iPads can now watch Foxtel pay TV on their tablet. A new app, Foxtel Go, lets Foxtel subscribers watch 21 channels and a selection of "catch up" TV series on iPads.
The service, which is available for free for subscribers, works with iPads running iOS 5 or more recent versions of Apple's mobile OS. Two iPads can be used simultaneously to watch Foxtel channels.
Currently offered channels include the LifeStyle Channel, A&E, Sky News, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, Disney, Cartoon Network, Channel [V], Cbeebies and a range of sports channels.
Foxtel executive director of product Jim Rudder hinted at further mobile offerings from the pay TV service, saying that "Over the coming months we’ll be announcing a number of initiatives which will extend our customers’ ability to take their Foxtel with them."
The Foxtel Go service works over 3G and 4G mobile connections, as well as Wi-Fi.
