The Google Nexus 4 has sold out less than an hour after going on sale yesterday.
The LG-manufactured Nexus 4 went on sale through Google's Play Store at approximately 12:15pm yesterday. However, both the 8GB and 16GB models were listed as "coming soon" less than an hour later.
The current Nexus 4 Play Store page notes that customers can "sign up to be notified by email when Nexus 4 becomes available."
Google has not clarifed when the device will go back on sale in Australia, nor is it known how much stock was allocated for the first batch of orders.
The 8GB model Nexus 4 sells for $349 while the 16GB model retails for $399.
There are currently no plans for Australian carriers to sell the phone, but LG says that the 16GB model will sell through retailers at a later, unannounced date.
There's no word yet on which Australian retail outlets will stock the device.
