MyNetFone buys Victorian ISP Connexus

VoIP and broadband retailer MyNetFone has announced that it will acquire Melbourne ISP Connexus for $4.75 million. Earlier this month MyNetFone picked up IP telephony company CallStream for $600,000.

MyNetFone said the deal is expected to add gross revenue of $5.2 million per annum and add $1.6 million to the company's pre-tax profit over the next 12 months.

CEO Rene Sugo said in a statement that the deal will let MyNetFone become a "one stop comms shop" for Australian small to medium enterprises.

Connexus currently has around 1000 SMB customers and 600 residential broadband customers. The company's statement said it saw opportunities to up-sell the current Connexus customer base to the voice products currently offered by MyNetFone.

The VoIP company completed its acquisition of wholesale voice carrier Symbio Networks in February.

In July MyNetFone announced it had won a contract worth up to $20 million dollars to provide VoIP services to the Tasmanian government.
