Telstra has completed repairs to a damaged redundant fibre cable near Harlin in Kingaroy, restoring emergency triple zero services.
The repairs mean the back-up link for Telstra's landline, mobile and broadband service were progressively being restored.
With the restoration of landline services across the South Burnett region and Central and Northern Queensland, Telstra customers will be able to access the emergency triple zero service which was cut off during the flooding.
However, service disruptions are still being experienced by customers due to power outages.
"These disruptions will be fixed as power is restored or as access becomes available so we can arrange emergency power," Telstra said in a statement.
The cable near Harlin was swept away in a landslide during the flooding in Queensland, with Telstra technicians accessing the area via four-wheel-drive with police assistance.
Peter Jamieson, Telstra customer service, yesterday posted a video on YouTube, stating "We're not out of the woods yet though -- we've still got a lot of work to do."
Telstra has put in place additional redundancy in the region via links from Darwin.
On Tuesday Telstra announced landline, mobile and broadband services were progressively being restored across Central and Northern Queensland following repairs to a damaged fibre optic cable at Colosseum.
