Steve Jobs' office at Apple remains exactly as he left it

Steve Jobs' office at Apple looks the same as it did the day the Apple co-founder died

Steve Jobs' office at Apple remains intact, and looks exactly the way it did when he passed away in October of 2012. This tidbit first came to the surface when a video clip of Tim Cook's interview with Charlie Rose was released earlier this week.

"I literally think about him every day," Cook explained. "His office is still left as it was. His name is still on the door."

Adding more detail to this quirky piece of info, Cook explained the reasoning for keeping Jobs' office as-is as part of a wide ranging interview with Bloomberg.

After his death in 2011, Tim Cook, his friend and successor as Apple chief executive officer, decided to leave the sparsely decorated room on the fourth floor of 1 Infinite Loop untouched. It's not a shrine or place of mourning, but just a space that Cook sensed no one could or should ever fill. "It felt right to leave it as it is," he says. "That's Steve's office."
