Bendigo and Adelaide Bank rolls out test automation

Bank rolls out eggPlant

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank has rolled out eggPlant Functional for test automation, TestPlant announced today.

“We needed to reduce the bottlenecks caused by manual testing, especially for our mobile applications, which are increasingly challenging due to diversity of devices, the number of regression tests required, and frequent upgrades,” the bank’s head of technology services, Kevin Dole, said in a statement.

The bank used the software testing tool for its mobile apps and web applications and is now looking a broader rollout of the eggPlant platform.

The bank said it had cut its regression testing windows by 60 per cent, from 13 days to four days.

Investment in digital capabilities has helped boost customer satisfaction for Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, the bank's managing director, Mike Hirst, told a full year results briefing earlier this month.

“Our bank consistently ranks number one in customer satisfaction indexes, and our products are regularly recognised for their competitive rates, being easy to use and understand, and for meeting our customer’s needs,” he said, commenting on the bank’s release of its FY16 results.

“This is a great testament to the outstanding commitment of our dedicated staff.”

“Supported by a significant investment in technology and digital capabilities, we’re firmly focused on maintaining this premium position with our customers by making it easier for them to do business with us,” Hirst said.
