• TO4 - Starting salary of $67 762 pa +12.5% Superannuation with regular increments as per the current collective agreement.

The role!

Our Systems Operation unit is offering an exciting opportunity for a self motivated and capable IT Security Officer to join and support the team in contributing to the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the airways system, with regard to safe guidance of aircraft and safety to the travelling public.

As an IT Security Officer, you will provide front line information security management of operational and business networks in accordance with approved standards. Your daily duties will be interesting and varied as the Information Security team is cross-skilled, meaning that you will work across a wide range of roles and issues.

The person!

With the recent restructure of the IT Security Team we are looking for an individual skilled in IT networks and network devices that is looking to take the leap off the tools and move to a higher position with an IT security focus.

To be successful in this position you will possess a tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent and have relevant experience in a corporate IT networks and network security. An IT security certification such as CISSP, CISM or GSEC or equivalent is highly desirable but not necessary as training will be provided for the successful individual.

You will also have experience in:
- developing and maintaining strong business relationships
- monitoring and identifying network based IT security issues
- operating, developing and maintaining network based IT security software tools
- providing support and advice to stakeholders.
