Microsoft Australia this morning staged a local launch at the Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park for the latest incarnation of its Windows operating system: Windows 8. The launch showcased the new tablet-friendly operating system, with an interface that draws on Windows Phone 7 and is a radical departure from the familiar desktop environment.
