'Team Hive' emerged victorious from a 40-hour hackathon staged by BlackBerry makers RIM. The event, held in Melbourne and beginning on 19 October, involved teams competing to build an app for the forthcoming BlackBerry 10 mobile platform. Team Hive members Edward Hooper, Lyn Nagara and Brendan Graetz took out first place in BlackBerry JamHack 2012, winning a trip to compete at BlackBerry Jam Asia in Thailand.
