Nvidia has partnered with modem chip makers GCT Semiconductor and Renesas Mobile to make it easier to build LTE (Long-Term Evolution) smartphones and tablets using its quad-core Tegra 3 processor, the company said on Thursday.

Japanese DRAM maker Elpida Memory on Monday said its factories are operating "at close to normal levels" two weeks after the 9.0-magnitude earthquake in Japan, and that it has "sufficient parts and materials to continue supplying out customers as usual until the end of July."

With offices on 3 continents, Mattson Technology designs, manufactures, and markets the semiconductor wafer processing equipment used to make integrated circuits. Google Apps has changed the way Mattson does business and enabled IT to turn off six servers. The company has also saved over 70% in total costs compared to Microsoft Exchange.
