Siemens Enterprise Communications has released a unified communications system for the 20 to 150 employees small business market.
The HiPath Open Office comes with a set of productivity, mobility and collaboration features all pre-configured on a hardware appliance.
The system comes with VoIP functionality as standard and includes the following key features:
One number service
A call management feature that routes calls according to the user's status; if they're in a meeting it will go through to voicemail whereas if they're out at lunch, it will divert to their mobile.
This allows people to see the availability of co-workers so they can tell if they're in a meeting, on the phone, or available for a chat.
Set up a conference call without a third-party supplier. Users can "drag and drop" participants from their directory into the call to begin a discussion.
Microsoft Outlook Plug-in
The HiPath Open Office integrates with Microsoft Outlook so users can access their communications options via one screen on the desktop.
Record calls, voicemails, IMs and a fax message box that automatically converts faxes to e-mails for archiving.
The HiPath Open Office ME is available now and pricing starts at $550 ex-GST per user. This is a one-time fee that includes hardware, software and a basic Siemens handset.
