BlackBerry client comes to MOTO Q

BlackBerry software for a BlackBerry look-alike

Motorola and Research in Motion have released the BlackBerry Connect client software for the MOTO Q with local mobile service plans.

Version 4.0 of the BlackBerry client for the Windows Mobile 6-based MOTO Q supports the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, BlackBerry Professional Software and BlackBerry Internet Service.

BlackBerry Connect for MOTO Q9h supports push wireless access to e-mail, including support for attachment viewing.

Additional features supported by BlackBerry Connect 4.0 include integration with Lotus Domino, Exchange and GroupWise; two-way synchronization of e-mail, calendar, address book and task information; remote look-up of an e-mail address directory; triple DES or AES wireless encryption; wireless device provisioning; and wireless IT policy enforcement.

Mobile users can also configure out-of-office replies, e-mail filters, and signatures from their device.

The MOTO Q device is available through Optus and Vodafone in Australia.
