BQT wins first major contract for IP enabled SmaX system

The new version of the access control system developed by BQT will be adopted by PresCare in their new smart building project.

BQT Solutions Limited (ASX:BQT) has won the first major contract for the IP-enabled version of its SmaX access control system.

The TCP/IP version of SmaX will be integrated into a new 'smart building' under development in Queensland.

Codenamed Carina, the new smart building will be an aged care facility for PresCare, a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Queensland.

More than 170 doors will be controlled by the new SmaX system once the building opens in early 2009. Security staff will be able to operate the doors remotely via a single control room.

The contract is valued at over $100,000.
