Australian inventors offered free patent consultation

The Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys is offering IP holders a free consultation on how to best protect their designs.

Australia's peak body for patent and trademark attorneys is offering inventors a free initial IP consultation.

The Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA) will arrange for a free appointment with one of the attorneys they represent.

The consultation will typically take 30 minutes, during which time clients will be advised of the options they have available, the documentation they will need and the countries in which they should and should not file patents.

According to the Institute, a large portion of IPs are under-protected, thanks to inadequate or poorly worded patents.
