Acting on a tip-off registered in Ireland, the ACMA and the police worked with the domain hosts to block the illegal content.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority [ACMA] has blocked access to a network of Australian child pornography sites, according to the ABC.

Acting on a public tip-off, ACMA and the Australian Federal Police [AFP] worked with the domain hosts to block access to the offending sites.

The tip-off came from a child abuse hotline in Ireland, but the sites had been registered in Australia.
