VIA Partners with Bluex to Offer After-Sales Service for VIA GMB Alliance Devices

<p>Taipei, Taiwan, 11 June 2009 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator of power efficient x86 processor platforms, today announced the addition of IT service provider, Blue Express Computer Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., to the growing membership of the VIA Global Mobility Bazaar (GMB) Alliance.</p>
<p>The VIA GMB Alliance was established last year as part of VIA's long-term commitment to inspire innovation in mobile computing devices by sharing its leading-edge technology and expertise in power efficient x86 processor platforms. The Alliance’s rapidly growing membership includes a host of PC manufacturing and infrastructure partners who bring together all the essential elements including BIOS, memory, display technology and chassis design to deliver affordable, power efficient mini-notebooks to global markets.</p>

From July 2009 onwards, all devices sporting VIA GMB/Bluex service stickers will be covered by Bluex’s nationwide service support network. Service representatives can be contacted via a toll-free number that will be provided to customers who purchase a VIA GMB certified notebook.</p>
