The Australia Council for the Arts is to replace is on the hunt for a new finance system following the decision to ditch its 20-year-old existing system.
In agency documents the Council said the existing OpenPlus system continued to service its basic needs for financial payments including international payments, recording and reporting.
However a system which was more user-friendly and capable of automation international payments, recording and reporting was now desired. Cloud-based, hosted and on-premise options are being considered.
“The new Finance System will need to integrate with existing business applications including the Australia Council Grant Management System (GMS), TRIM Record management system, CHRIS HR system, and SQLServer-based Business Intelligence and Customer Relationship Management systems,” the documents read.
The finance system replacement project, which is due to be implemented by May 2012, will also involve the design and implement a new chart of accounts and the migration of financial data from the existing system to the new system.
The Australia Council for the Arts is the Federal Government’s arts funding and advisory body.
