Toshiba has unveiled a 7-inch Android tablet creatively dubbed the Toshiba Tablet (AT1S0). The device, which will be available at the end of next month with a recommended retail price of $449, runs version 3.2 of Google's Android platform.
The AT1S0 tablet has an LED backlit multitouch touchscreen with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The tablet uses NVIDIA's Tegra 2 chipset.
The Wi-Fi-only tablet includes 8GB of internal storage as well as a microSD card slot, an Micro USB port and a Micro HDMI port.
It also includes two high-definition cameras, GPS and Bluetooth.
Like the Toshiba Tablet (AT1SO), Amazon's recently announced Kindle Fire has a 7-inch display. Other competing 7-inch tablets include 7-inch the Lenovo Ideapad A1 and the Acer Iconia Tab A100.
