Acer's new Ultrabook has dedicated graphics, hybrid storage

Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 offers a discrete graphics card, Sandy Bridge processor

Acer has expanded its Timeline series of notebooks, adding a new 15.6-inch ultrabook equipped with an Nvidia graphics card.

The Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3, which will be available from JB Hi-Fi, includes an Nvidia GT 640M graphics card with 1GB of RAM. The notebook uses hybrid storage that combines 500GB of hard storage with a 20GB solid-state drive.

The M3 has a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1280x768 pixels.

Acer is offering two different models, both equipped with second generation Intel Core (Sandy Bridge) CPUs : The Aspire M3-581TG, which has a Core i4-2467M processor, and the Aspire M3-581TG, which runs a i7-2637M CPU. The notebooks are available for $1399 and $1499, respectively.
