Two new users signing up every second

LinkedIn has reached 200 million members, the social networking service announced today. More than 37 million of the service's users are in the Asia Pacific.

According to LinkedIn, more than 13 million signups have taken place since it last revealed its user base at the start of November last year.

LinkedIn launched in early 2003. In 2011 the company went public in a well received IPO.

Last year the service rolled out a number of new features including revamped profile pages, new notifications for users and redesigned company pages.
