Thingsquare launches IDE for 'Internet of Things'

Thingsquare Code is currently in open beta.

Thingsquare, the company started by Adam Dunkels, the creator of open source Internet of Things (IoT) operating system Contiki, has launched on online IDE for developing firmware for devices that are part of the IoT.

lets developers work within Web browsers, then compile and deploy applications to run on embedded systems that use Thingsquare's Mist wireless networking system.

In March, the company released open source Thingsquare Mist firmware.

Thingsquare Code is currently in open beta.
