Temando has been selected as the winner of the second IBM SmartCamp competition held in A/NZ.
The IT start-up beat the three other finalists with the help of its unique delivery management software system.
In addition to free access to IBM technology, Temando will also receive three months of mentoring by IBM experts as the prize.
Temando CEO and Founder, Carl Hartmann, said participating in the IBM SmartCamp program has helped the company refine its business pitch process.
“We are thrilled to have been a part of such a program that has helped us connect with IBM and industry experts to build up our network as we look forward to the next step of our business,” he said.
As for what enabled Temando to secure the win, Hartmann said the judges were impressed by their vision of an interconnected and smarter delivery management platform targeted at online retailers and end consumers.
The next step
Temando will now advance to the SmartCamp regional finals that will be held in Istanbul in October.
The winner at that event will then attend the global finals for a chance to be named the IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year.
