Café and coffee discovery app developer, Beanhunter, has acquired Australian based cafe industry job website CoffeeJobs.com for an undisclosed sum.
Cafes and coffee roaster owners use the CoffeeJobs website to find experienced café staff.
According to Beanhunter CEO, James Crawford, the acquisition is a perfect fit for the Melbourne startup.
“Beanhunter’s 12,000 cafes in Australia will have direct access to CoffeeJobs.com to help find their most valuable asset – their staff, and in particular the best baristas. With over 1.2 million page views per month and annualised growth of 100 per cent, the combined business is poised for even faster acceleration,” he said in a statement.
Beanhunter co-founder and director Al Ramsay told Techworld Australia that the acquisition amount is confidential.
"It is part of a larger plan to help monetize the Beanhunter business as we start a $3 million capital raise," he said.
Ramsay confirmed that CoffeeJobs.com staff will be joining Beanhunter.
"They will be in similar roles and their experience will help the overall growth of the entire business."
