ASX-listed IT services provider Empired this morning announced it won a $15 million contract with Singapore-headquartered resources company InterOil.
The managed services deal has an initial three-year period with options for two one-year extensions.
Empired will provided managed infrastructure and application support services for InterOil. The deal covers InterOil's core ICT systems, finance and corporate systems, exploration and production system, Empired said.
Last month Empired revealed that Rio Tinto had signed an application managed services contract worth $20 million with the company.
"We have been through a rigorous selection process leading to contract award," InterOil's CIO, Jeff Carvell, said in a statement.
"Key to Empired’s success was not only their mature business focused services model but their depth of capability in technical field systems."
The IT services provider said it had opened a Singapore office to support the deal.
"Empired are confident in leveraging the work we are doing with InterOil to secure additional strategic contracts in the region," the company said in a statement.
