NSW govt deploys records management

Platform will slash IT costs for Attorney-Generals Department

The NSW Attorney-General's Department has deployed a new Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) to cut costs from disparate IT systems and better manage its corporate data.

A department spokesperson said the system will be rolled out to 500 users for records and correspondence management.

The multi-stage program will be deployed across the organisation with a process management strategy to centralise distributed and siloed information. It will be used to increase staff productivity and informed decision making, slash costs in distributed IT systems and ensure department compliance with the 1998 State Records Act.

The Department of Defence, The Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia, and The Western Australia Department of Health also use data management systems from Objective.
