Exetel announced 4G smartphone plans running on the Optus network.
The cheapest plan is $19.95 per month but includes just 200MB data and $200 value for talk and text. A $39.95 plan includes 1.5GB of data with $650 for talk and unlimited text and calls to Exetel numbers. At the top of the range is a $69.95 plan that includes 3GB of data and unlimited talk and text.
All the plans are postpaid and do not require a contract. A SIM card, setup and shipping is included in the price. More details on the plans can be found on the Exetel website.
Extel began selling 4G mobile broadband plans late last year, but the plans did not include calling.
Virgin Mobile is not a MVNO like Exetel, but also sells 4G plans running on the Optus network. Another Optus reseller, Amaysim, has said it may not offer 4G plans in the near future.
