Capgemini has announced it has launched a Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Melbourne to help clients drive business differentiation, innovation, transformation and operational efficiency across their organisations while protecting data, assets, identities and overall customer trust. It also supports Capgemini’s commitment to building and shaping the workforce of the future, offering clients a broader set of capabilities to address the fast-growing areas of digital strategy, cloud, artificial intelligence, customer experience innovation and other emerging technologies.
With cybersecurity teams spread across the world, Capgemini helps its clients to secure their digital and cloud transformation journeys. The opening of this SOC represents the continued expansion of Capgemini’s operations in Australia, as well as its cybersecurity services and solutions across the region to help meet increased customer demand.
“Our connected network of SOCs provides clients end-to-end services through a proven model that leverages the latest cloud security to better predict, prevent, detect and respond to threats. By leveraging different delivery models globally, our clients have the flexibility to scale the services they need based on their business ambitions, while maintaining consistent and reliable security configurations to protect their data,” said Geert van der Linden, Executive Vice President and Cybersecurity Business Lead, Capgemini.
“New technologies and business process innovations are shifting how organisations are looking at cybersecurity. Organisations are challenged not only to build in cybersecurity as a risk mitigation, but to drive consumer loyalty and business growth.” said Olaf Pietschner, Managing Director, Capgemini in Australia and New Zealand. “The Melbourne SOC launch further strengthens Capgemini’s position in cybersecurity and provides Australian clients, who operate in regulated industries a well-rounded portfolio of cybersecurity services to accelerate their transformation with trust.”
Leveraging Capgemini’s global network of connected SOCs, the security operations centre in Melbourne will offer end-to-end cybersecurity capabilities including advanced threat detection, vulnerability management, fraud monitoring, incident response, forensics, and cyber risk management and data protection and regulatory compliance.
