Talent recognised for outstanding community contribution

26 July 2019 - Talent has been named a recipient of the 2019 GoodCompany Top 20 Best Workplaces to Give Back in Australia award- the only recruitment company to be recognised in the group of winners. This award celebrates Talent’s positive social impact on the community through team volunteering, skilled volunteering, fundraising, donating, sponsorship, equal pay for equal work and diversity initiatives.

Talent Founder and Chairman Richard Earl said the award was a fantastic acknowledgement of what is a main focus of Talent.

“We have always been community focused and the team at Talent is committed to many corporate and social responsibility initiatives, but we are especially proud of the impact our charity Talent RISE is having on youth unemployment to create opportunities for young people to RISE up to their potential. Since beginning in 2014 Talent RISE has engaged more than 2,400 young people and placed over 170 into meaningful employment.”

We work with our teams to create ways for them give back to the community some of these initiatives are; community volunteer paid leave, shared value strategy, equal pay for equal work commitments, diversity programs, recycling and our charity RISE. GoodCompany experts along with help from external partners assess and rank nominees using three main criteria: Impact, Context and Innovation. Of the 2019 winners GoodCompany said: “This year the competition was tougher than ever, with over 100 entries from across Australia.” adding that, “the growing levels of giving are simply mind-blowing” The award follows a number of other achievements for Talent in the realm of social impact, including the APSCo Corporate Social Responsibility Award, NZ Hi-Tech award for Best Contribution to the NZ Hi-Tech Sector and being named a Top Performing Company by HRD in the categories of Diversity and Inclusion.
